If you are wise, stern, just, reasonable and strong built, know the history of your homeland and love your country, you are a true Dacian.
The Dacians are our glorious and proud ancestors. Famous historian Tacitus wrote about the Dacians in his chronicles. The history of Dacia, the Dacians' country, dates back thousands of years. Chişinău's cities were named after its great kings Burebista and Decebal. One of the most animated streets of the city was named after the country, Dacia.
Passing by these streets with historical names, the bus bearing the name 'Dacia' on it is filling up with victorious energy that its passengers need. Dacia is also the name of the club that has become one of the best known landmarks of Chişinău and Moldovan football.
Though the history of FC Dacia dates ten years back, it is filled with glorious events and great wins. Dacia have achieved especially great results in the UEFA Intertoto Cup, giving trouble to its future winners FC Schalke 04 and Hamburg. FC Dacia claimed the most important trophy of Moldova - the National Division title, soon followed with a win in the Moldova Cup.
Dacia focus on local players. The club's footballers are true Dacians in terms of courage and patriotism. Internationals kindly welcomed by the team also become Dacians, putting in their effort and talents to achieve success for the club.
Dacia's achievements and victory approach are visible in the club's logo. It combines three colours of the national tricolour - red, blue, and yellow.
Two of those colours - yellow and blue - are traditional colours of the club. The wolf's head is painted in yellow. The wolf was a sacred animal for the Dacians. Our predecessors worshipped this beautiful and fierce animal protecting people. This is why Dacia's players - fierce, goal-oriented and uncompromising - can give trouble even to good, star-studded teams such as FC Schalke 04 and Hamburg that respectfully call them the Yellow Wolves.
The football at the top of the logo is also painted in blue and yellow. But just a few know that this it also includes the magic circle of the Dacians, the lucky symbol of this people.
White-and-blue striped squares indicate that this uniform can be alternate for the team. The red letters "FC DACIA", red tips of the ribbons and the red framing of the logo kindle the hearts of numerous fans of the club. The name of the city where Dacia is based, "Chişinău", is painted in blue.
Join the lucky magic banner of FC Dacia and its supporters! Be a Dacian!
